SYMPTOMS
========

If you try to run Microsoft Zoo Tycoon or the Microsoft Zoo Tycoon Demo, you may
receive the following error message:

   Zoo Tycoon Executable has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are
   sorry for the inconvenience.

If you click click here, a dialog box is displayed. It contains the following
information about the error:

   Error Signature
   AppName: <AppName> AppVer: 10.10.0.x ModName: ddraw.dll
   ModVer: <ModVer> Offset <Offset>

   where <AppName> is zoo.exe or zoodemo.exe
   where <ModVer> is a version number less than 4.8.0.400
   where <Offset> is any value

CAUSE
=====

This issue occurs when DirectX 8.0a or later is not installed on your computer.

RESOLUTION
==========

To correct this issue, install Microsoft DirectX 8.0a or later.

To install Microsoft DirectX, download the latest version of DirectX from the
following Microsoft Web site:

   http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/downloads/default.asp
