SYMPTOMS
========

When you run one of the My Personal Tutor programs listed at the beginning of
this article, you may receive the following error message

   Corrupt files have been found. Please rerun <program> setup.

where <program> is one of the following My personal Tutor programs:

 - Alphabet Playhouse
 - Mathopolis
 - Preschool Workshop
 - Reader Railway

CAUSE
=====

This behavior occurs if you install the Norton Antivirus 4.0 Product Support
Update, dated July 8, 1998.

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this issue, remove Norton Antivirus 4.0, remove and reinstall each My
Personal Tutor program you are using, and then reinstall Norton Antivirus 4.0.
To do this, follow these steps:

1. Remove Norton Antivirus 4.0 and delete any Norton Antivirus or Symantec
   LiveUpdate folders that remain on the hard disk after you remove the
   program.

   For information about how to accomplish this task, contact the Symantec Norton
   Group.

   For information about how to contact the Symantec Norton Group, please query
   on the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

2. Remove the My Personal Tutor program you are using. If you are using more
   than one My Personal Tutor program, remove each program. To do this, follow
   these steps:

   a. Click Start, point to Programs, and then click Control Panel.

   b. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.

   c. In the list of installed programs, click the My Personal Tutor program you
      are using, and then click Add/Remove.

   d. Follow the instructions on the screen to remove the program.

3. Reinstall the My Personal Tutor program you are using. If you removed more
   than one My Personal Tutor program in step 2, reinstall each program you
   removed.

4. Reinstall Norton Antivirus 4.0.
