SYMPTOMS
========

When you use the Find feature in Microsoft Streets and Trips 2002 to search for
an address, the returned results may be blank or the program may stop responding
(hang).

CAUSE
=====

This behavior can occur if Microsoft Internet Explorer is not properly updated
on your system.

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this issue, restart your computer with a clean boot, and then
reinstall Internet Explorer. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Perform a clean boot:

   a. Click Start, and then click Run.

   b. In the Open box, type "msconfig" (without the quotation marks).

   c. In the System Configuration Utility dialog box, click "Selective startup".

   d. Click to clear each check box under "Selective startup", and then click
      OK.

   e. When prompted, restart your computer.

2. Reinstall Internet Explorer 5.5:

   a. Insert your Streets and Trips 2002 CD-ROM into your computer's CD-ROM or
      DVD-ROM drive.

   b. Click Start, and then click Run.

   c. In the Open box, type the following

   <D>:\OSP\1033\IE5\EN\ie5setup.exe

      (where <D> is the letter of your computer's CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive)
      and then click OK.

   d. Follow the instructions to complete the installation.

If the following steps do not resolve the issue, then remove and reinstall the
program.

1. Close all running programs.

2. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.

3. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.

4. Select Microsoft Streets & Trips 2002, and then click Remove.

5. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Once the uninstall is complete, close any open windows, and then put the Streets
& Trips setup CD in the CD-ROM drive. Setup should automatically run and you
can follow the wizard to install the program.
