MORE INFORMATION ================ Before you can use all the features described in this article, you must have the following programs installed: - Microsoft FrontPage 97 -and- - Microsoft PowerPoint 97 To insert a PowerPoint animation (.ppz) file into your Web page, follow these steps: 1. Save your PowerPoint presentation as a PowerPoint animation file. To do this, follow these steps: a. Open your Presentation in Microsoft PowerPoint. b. On the File menu, click Save As HTML. c. Click Next three times. d. Click the PowerPoint Animation button, and then click Next. e. Click Next six times. f. In the Folder box, type "C:\My Documents" (without the quotation marks), and then click Finish. NOTE: The PowerPoint animation will be saved with the file name Pres0.ppz in a folder with the same name as the PowerPoint animation you have open. 2. Import the PowerPoint animation into your FrontPage Web. To do this, follow these steps: a. Open your Web in FrontPage Explorer. b. On the File menu, click Import. c. Click Add File. d. Select the Pres0.ppz file you created in step 1 and click Open. NOTE: The default location is C:\My Documents. e. Click OK. 3. Open your Web page in FrontPage Editor. 4. On the Insert menu, point to Other Component, and then click PowerPoint Animation. 5. Click Browse, click Pres0.ppz, and then click OK. 6. In the Insert As section, click ActiveX Control. Click OK. 7. On the File menu, click Save. NOTE: The first time you open the page containing the PowerPoint animation, you may be prompted to download and install the Microsoft PowerPoint animation ActiveX control. You should download and install this file to run the PowerPoint animation.
