Access Violation on Receiving Server When Connection Lost Under Heavy Stress

SYMPTOMS

When a server is in the receiving mode of a replication and is under heavy stress, an access violation can occur if the network connection is lost.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, apply the latest Site Server 3.0 service pack.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Site Server version 3.0. This problem was corrected in the latest Microsoft Site Server version 3.0 U.S. Service Pack. For information about obtaining the service pack, query on the following word in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (without the spaces):
