Creation of Same Autostart Channel Causes Portals to Fail

SYMPTOMS

It is possible for a persistent channel that follows an autostart persistent channel to also be marked as an autostart channel. This causes a bad server-to-server message to be generated (due to the erroneous autostart entry) and the portal links between servers to be terminated.

RESOLUTION

Upgrade your system with Service Pack 1 for Microsoft Commercial Internet System (MCIS) version 1.0. There is a channel identification problem in the version 1.0 Chatsvc.dll file that is fixed by the updated Chatsvc.dll file.
