FTP Error Causes Password to be Displayed in Clear TextID: Q228917
|
If an end user FTPs into MCIS 2.5 Personal Web Page system as anonymous and receives an error, the password is displayed in clear text in the error message.
This behavior is expected. An e-mail address for an anonymous password is an Internet standard.
Because the supplied password is for anonymous and is not an actual user's password, displaying the e-mail address back in the error message is not a security risk.
