Import Fails with Proxy Logs Containing Illegal DNS NamesID: Q226499
|
When you use Usage Analyst to import Proxy Server log files, one of the following errors may occur:
Error querying the import job. Error writing to database while adding site summary to the database.
Error querying the import job. Error from doing addsiteSummary ReadSiteForName. hr=8004133c.
When a users request Web pages using invalid URLs, Proxy Server records these as failed requests into its log file.
Usage Analyst does not handle the log entries gracefully if they have illegal DNS names (for example:
www.républicain-lorrain
). Usage Analyst fails to import any data beyond such a entry.
