ListBuilder Reports Network Error When Sending to Message Builder

ID: Q224590

The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

When you batch large numbers of Direct Mail packages, the following error is logged in the Event Viewer:

TMLBSVC
Event: 12290
The '<name of package>' mailing could not be sent to the Message Builder
because a network error 'The operation timed out' occurred.
The return code was c0029b7c.

CAUSE

ListBuilder runs into a timing issue when applying ACLs to the packages it hands off to the Message Builder service.

This causes the application of ACLs to fail. If this occurs, the Message Builder service does not pick up the packages because they do not have the correct ACLs applied.

ListBuilder interprets this as a network error in communicating with the Message Builder service and the above event results.
