Multiple Promotions May Cause Small Memory Leak in Inetinfo.exeID: Q218943
|
When you use multiple promotions, a small memory leak may occur in the Internet Information Server (IIS) Admin process (Inetinfo.exe) per HTTP request. Over a period of high stress, the cumulative effect of the small memory leak may result in the IIS computer failing to service requests.
The DBOrderPromo object is not explicitly releasing all of its smart pointer variables when multiple promotions exist.
A supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft,
but has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to
systems experiencing this specific problem. If you are not severely
affected by this specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for
the next Windows NT service pack.
