Records with Metadata Deleted with Addition of Dimension

SYMPTOMS

This article applies to Analysis Custom Import, a component of Site Server 3.0.

If you import a log file using Usage Import, in the Content category, the records resulting from the import appear as expected. By subsequently adding a dimension (for example "author") and looking back at the records, a portion of the records may be inadvertently deleted.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, apply the latest Site Server 3.0 service pack.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Site Server version 3.0. This problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. service pack for Microsoft Site Server version 3.0.
