Unsorted Paged Result Sets from SQL Server Membership Instances

SYMPTOMS

When you are using paged result sets to queries of a Membership instance that resides in a SQL Server database, the resulting pages are returned unsorted.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, apply the latest Site Server 3.0 service pack.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Site Server version 3.0. This problem was corrected in the latest Microsoft Site Server version 3.0 U.S. Service Pack. For information about obtaining the service pack, query on the following word in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (without the spaces):
