Visual InterDev 6.0 Causes Site Server Tag Tool to Function Incorrectly

SYMPTOMS

When you install Visual InterDev 6.0, the Site Server 3.0 Tag Tool does not function correctly. Visual InterDev installs a new version of the Mfc42.dll file. Calls to CDialog::DoModal fail when calling to the new version of the Mfc42.dll file, and when you click the Select button, nothing appears.


RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, apply the latest Site Server 3.0 service pack.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Site Server version 3.0. This problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. service pack for Microsoft Site Server version 3.0.
