Cannot Download Large Files Over HTTPS Using Proxy Server Combined HotfixID: Q222948

When you attempt to download a file via HTTPS through Proxy Server 2.0 with the Proxy Server Combined Hotfix applied, the download may fail after a short amount of time. The Internet browser may stop responding or download an incomplete file. Internet Explorer may return the following error message:
Internet Explorer cannot download from the internet site [file name] from [Web_site_name or IP_Address]. Server returned invalid or unrecognized response.
A supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but
it has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems
experiencing this specific problem.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Proxy Server 2.0.
