When Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.0 SP1, included in the Windows NT 4.0 SP4, is installed on a Proxy Server 2.0 computer, ODBC logging can no longer be configured. An attempt to do so causes the following error to occur, even though the supplied parameters are correct.
ODBC Error - The Data Source Name (DSN) may be incorrect
The Proxy Server 2.0 Mspadmin.exe component does not correctly check the return value of some low-level ODBC API calls.
A supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from
Microsoft, but has not been fully regression tested and should be applied
only to systems experiencing this specific problem.
