Proxy Server 2.0 Log Records May Contain Unsafe CharactersID: Q231050

Log analysis tools such as Microsoft Site Server Analysis may import Microsoft Proxy Server 2.0 logs incorrectly.
Microsoft Proxy Server 2.0 log records are comma delimited. Any fields containing commas in the field, such as a URL string or user agent string, can case analysis tools to detect a part of the field as a separate field. This is because Proxy Server logging does not replace commas in a field as it should.
A supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but 
it has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems 
experiencing this specific problem.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Proxy Server 2.0.
Unsafe characters in record fields are now replaced with apostrophes.
