Using a CONTROL+C or CONTROL+Break keystroke combination to stop the Bcp.exe utility may not actually stop the command. This behavior is only observed if you issue the CONTROL+C or CONTROL+Break sequence on the line "Do you want to save this format information in a file? [Y/n]". In some cases, a message is returned indicating that the bulk copy is aborted, but the bulk copy continues.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server version 7.0.
