FIX: Cannot Properly Add IPX/SPX Address to Server Network UtilityID: Q233027
|
When you select the Network Address option for the NWLink IPX/SPX Network-Library in the Server Network Utility, you are asked to supply values for Address, Port, and Network. However, the Network option should not be required. Also, there is no option to specify that the service is Hidden.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server
version 7.0. This problem has been corrected in U.S. Service Pack 1
for Microsoft SQL Server version 7.0. For information about
downloading and installing the latest SQL Server Service Pack, see
http://support.microsoft.com/support/sql/.
For more information, contact your primary support provider.
In SQL Server 7.0 Service Pack 1, the Server Network Utility dialog box no longer requires an entry for Network, and provides a Hidden Service check box as well.
