FIX: Cannot Link OLAP Servers in SQL Server Enterprise Linked ServerID: Q233491
|
If you use Enterprise Manager to link an OLAP Services 7.0 server to a SQL Server 7.0 server and then you click Tables, under the created linked server folder, an error occurs. If the SQL Server is running under the local system account, the following message displays:
When SQL Server is not running under the local system account, the following message appears:Initialization of the dynamic link library C:\WINNT\system32\USER32.dll failed.
The process is terminating abnormally.
Error 7302: Could not create an instance of OLE DB provider 'MSOLAP'.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server
version 7.0. This problem has been corrected in U.S. Service Pack 1
for Microsoft SQL Server version 7.0. For information about
downloading and installing the latest SQL Server Service Pack, see
http://support.microsoft.com/support/sql/.
