FIX: Replication Log Reader Task Causes Memory LeakID: Q218149
|
The replication logreader task causes a memory leak in the SQL Executive process when it is scheduled for Recurring schedule. The private bytes for the SQLExec.exe process increase approximately 80 KB per hour when the logreader task is run once per minute.
To work around this problem, change the schedule for the logreader task to be Auto Start instead of Recurring.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server
version 6.5. This problem has been corrected in U.S. Service Pack 5a
for Microsoft SQL Server version 6.5. For information about
downloading and installing the latest SQL Server Service Pack, see
http://support.microsoft.com/support/sql/.
