PRB: SQLMail Always Saves Sent Mail with Exchange Client

The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

Messages that SQLMail sends are always saved in the Sent Items folder, regardless of the setting that disables this option in the Microsoft Exchange client.


CAUSE

SQLMail is written with Simple MAPI (MAPI 0), which does not recognize this setting.


WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, run the Microsoft Exchange client and manually delete the messages in the Sent Items folder.
