Bug Fixes Found in MDAC 2.0 SP1
The following hot fixes are available for MDAC 2.0 and are included with MDAC 2.0 SP1:
- Conflict between ADO 2.0 and Internet Information Server (IIS) 3.0.
For additional information, please see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
Q193310
FIX: ADO 2.0 Generates Error 0115 When Used with IIS 3.0
- When opening a rowset (or ADO Recordset), the OLE DB Provider for
ODBC would reserve a block of memory 64K times the size of a single
row. This memory would be released correctly, but the size of the
allocation can help memory become overly fragmented.
- When opening a server side, Keyset cursor with the SQL Server Provider, a hash table is created for holding bookmark values for all the rows in the opened rowset. This size was reduced from 64K to 1K.
