No Error Message Displays When Admin Is Running During Move ServerID: Q189243

When you use the Move Server utility to change the Enterprise name of an Exchange Server computer while the Exchange Server Administrator program is running, a system crash will occur and produce the following call stack:

No errors or messages are displayed when you start the Move Server utility
to alert you that the Exchange Server Administrator program is running and
should be stopped before you begin.
Stop the Exchange Server Administrator program before starting the Move Server utility.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
