Outlook 98 "Searching for This Meeting on the Calendar" Message

SUMMARY

When you receive and open a meeting request, the following dialog may be displayed:

   Searching for this meeting on the calendar.

MORE INFORMATION

This message is not an error, but rather a progress indicator as the calendar is checked for conflicting appointments; the message should appear and disappear quickly as this happens.

The message will most often appear if an appointment received is to be booked on a day that has an existing all-day appointment or on a day that has a large number of appointments already booked.
