XADM: Nordic Alt 0216 Character Incorrectly Translated in SMTP & X.400 Proxy AddressID: Q194321

When you create an Exchange Server mailbox including the alt 0216 character in the First or Last name of the mailbox, the SMTP and X.400 proxy address automatically generated by Exchange Server contain the character zero (0) instead of a capital letter O.
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Exchange Server version 5.5. For more information, please see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Exchange Server version 5.5.
After replacing the three files listed above, please perform the following
steps:
WARNING: Using the raw mode of the Exchange Server Administrator program
(admin /r) incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to
reinstall Microsoft Windows NT Server and/or Microsoft Exchange Server.
Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use
of raw mode can be solved. Use raw mode at you own risk.
