XCLN: (ODK) How to Automatically Import Sched+ Data to OutlookID: Q190917
|
This article describes how to automatically import Microsoft Schedule+ 7.x data to the Microsoft Outlook 8.5 Calendar by using the Microsoft Outlook Deployment Wizard (ODW) to configure a custom installation. This method only imports Schedule+ 7.x data located in a Microsoft Exchange Server mailbox.
WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that
may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot
guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor
can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.
For information about how to edit the registry, view the "Changing Keys And
Values" Help topic in Registry Editor (Regedit.exe) or the "Add and Delete
Information in the Registry" and "Edit Registry Data" Help topics in
Regedt32.exe. Note that you should back up the registry before you edit it.
The Microsoft Outlook Deployment Wizard lets an administrator add custom
registry entries to the Windows registry during the installation process.
If a user's Schedule+ 7.x Calendar information is stored on a Microsoft
Exchange Server computer, the data can be migrated to Microsoft Outlook 8.5
by setting the following registry key and value on the Add Registry Entries
screen in Stage 5 of the ODW:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\8.0\Outlook\Import
Value Name: ImportDetection
Value Type: DWORD
Value Data: 1 = Prompt user to import Schedule+ information
2 = Import Schedule+ information without prompting user
During the installation process, this entry is added to the registry on the
user's computer. When Outlook 8.5 is run for the first time, the following
process occurs:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\8.0\Outlook\Setup
Value Name: First-Run
Value Name: ImportSPlus
