PRB: Epson Stylus Color 850 (AT) Driver Hangs FoxPro

FoxPro 2.6a for the Macintosh hangs when you attempt to print with the Epson Stylus Color 850 (AT) 5.10A driver.

The Epson Stylus Color 850 (AT) 5.10A driver is a network printer driver. This behavior does not happen with the Epson Stylus Color 850 driver, the single-user version of the same driver. Furthermore, this behavior does not happen in Visual FoxPro 3.b for the Macintosh.

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

  1. Install the Epson Stylus Color 850 (AT) driver and set it as the default Macintosh printer.


  2. Start FoxPro 2.6a and create a report named Ztest. Make sure that the report uses the Epson Stylus Color 850 (AT) driver as the default.


  3. Type the following command in the Command window:

      REPORT FORM Ztest TO PRINT
The desktop and the Command window of FoxPro 2.6a change color, the message "Now spooling the document 'FoxPro'." may appear and the computer hangs.

This behavior also occurs if you attempt to print using the Print menu bar of the File menu pad.
