When you synchronize your Handheld PC (H/PC) with your desktop computer, all of your appointments may be off by one hour.
This behavior can occur if you set your home city to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Windows CE 2.0 devices list "GMT -5:00" as the time zone for Baton Rouge, whereas desktop computers running Microsoft Windows 95/98 or Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 correctly list the time zone as "GMT -6:00."
To work around this issue, create a custom time zone using the "GMT -6:00" setting. To do so, follow these steps:
1. Tap Start, tap Settings, and then tap Control Panel.
2. Double-tap World Clock, and then tap the Options tab.
3. Tap Add, tap Baton Rouge LA., and then tap OK.
4. In the Add City box, type the name of your city, and then tap "(GMT -6)
Central Time (US & Canada)" in the Time Zone box.
5. Specify a city area code and airport (these settings are not required),
and then tap OK.
