This article lists some of the known issues in Microsoft Pocket Excel.

You may experience any of the following issues when you use Pocket Excel:
- If you select a specific range of cells rather than entire columns,
rows, or worksheets in Pocket Excel, many functions, such as sorting,
formatting, or filtering, can be processed faster.
- If you print a workbook in Pocket Excel and you receive an error
message, you may need to close and open the workbook again before you
try to print again.
- If you use the Undo command to undo a command you performed on a large
number of cells, you may experience slow performance.
- If you insert, delete, or move a sheet within a workbook, any AutoFilter
functionality that you set up may no longer be working.
- When you save a workbook in Pocket Excel, the AutoFilter functionality
is not saved.
- When you convert a Microsoft Excel workbook to a Pocket Excel workbook,
the AutoFilter functionality is not saved.
- If you created some hidden rows in a Microsoft Excel workbook using
the AutoFilter feature, these rows remain hidden when you convert the
workbook to a Pocket Excel workbook format.
- Fractions may not be displayed correctly in workbook cells.
- When you add a border to a cell, you cannot change that formatting
using an adjacent cell.
- Pocket Excel does not support currency symbols other than the United
States dollar sign ($).
- Column IV and row 16384 are the last available column and row
in Pocket Excel.
- Column or row formatting may be lost when you convert a file from the
Excel format to the Pocket Excel format.
- Some formatting for fonts, font colors, fills, or borders are not
converted properly from Microsoft Excel 95 to Pocket Excel.
- Pocket Excel does not support hidden worksheets. When you hide a
worksheet in Microsoft Excel, and then convert the worksheet to the
Pocket Excel format, the worksheet does not remain hidden.
- Excel files that contain a large number of formatting features may not
convert properly to the Pocket Excel format.
- Pocket Excel does not recognize the Microsoft Excel for Macintosh file
format.
- Microsoft does not recommend using extended characters in passwords in
Pocket Excel documents.
- Excel workbooks lose password protection when you convert them to Pocket
Word documents.
- Microsoft does not recommend pasting a password into a Pocket Excel
workbook.
- Pocket Excel does not recognize the Excel 97 conditional number
formatting feature.
- When you convert a file from Pocket Excel to Excel format, all the
Pocket Excel number formats are added as custom formats in Excel.
- When you add a custom number format, it may be displayed as unrecognized
characters (blank squares).
- Pocket Excel may not recognize local defined range names in Excel
workbooks.
