Problems When You Convert Files Between Excel and Pocket Excel

This article summarizes the known issues you may experience when you
convert files between Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Pocket Excel.

When you convert files from Excel to Pocket Excel, you may experience any
of the following issues:
- In an Excel file, if you use a currency symbol other than a dollar sign
($) in some spreadsheet cells, Pocket Excel cannot save the file.
- Rows above row 16,384 in an Excel file are deleted when you convert the
the file to Pocket Excel. Note that Excel files can contain up to 65,536
rows.
- Some column formatting may be missing when you convert files from Pocket
Excel to Excel. Note that you can reformat the columns in Pocket Excel.
- The AutoFilter feature in Excel may not work properly in Pocket Excel
files.
- Cells formatted using the Conditional Formatting command in Excel may
not remain formatted when you convert the file to Pocket Excel.
When you convert files from Pocket Excel to Excel, you may experience
any of the following issues:
- Colors, fonts, fills, or borders in Pocket Excel files may not be
converted properly when you convert the files to Excel files. Note that
all colors are converted properly when you convert a Pocket Excel file
to an Excel 97 file.
- Number formats in Pocket Excel files may be added to the Custom category
on the Number tab of the Format Cells dialog box in Excel.
