When you use Terminal in Windows CE 2.0, the Data Bits, Parity, and Stop Bits settings for your Terminal session may spontaneously change.
This behavior can occur if you configure your Terminal session to use settings that are different from the following default settings:
To resolve this issue, change the Data Bits, Parity, and Stop Bits settings in your Terminal session to the default values. To do so, follow these steps:
1. Tap Start, point to Programs, point to Communication, and then tap
Terminal.
2. Tap the icon for the connection you want to use.
3. On the File menu, tap Properties.
4. Tap Configure.
5. On the Port Settings tab, in the Data Bits box, tap 8.
6. In the Parity box, tap None.
7. In the Stop Bits box, tap 1.
8. Tap OK, and then tap OK again.
9. Quit Terminal.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows CE 2.0.
