If you change the Data Bits, Parity, and Stop Bits values in a Remote Networking connection, the changes you make may not be saved correctly.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows CE version 2.0.
This can be a problem if you connect to an Internet service provider (ISP), which does not use the connection preference values in the following table:
