This information applies to all versions of the Microsoft Mouse and Microsoft Mouse driver for MS-DOS systems. MORE INFORMATION ================ MENUMAKE.EXE (Menumaker) is a program designed to create Mouse menus for text-based programs that do not have built-in mouse support. MENUMAKE.EXE uses MAKEMENU.EXE to compile the .DEF files into .MNU files. Therefore, if the MAKEMENU.EXE file is missing from the directory where MENUMAKE.EXE was started, the MENUMAKE.EXE generates an error message similar to the message above. If the MAKEMENU.EXE file is in the directory where MENUMAKE.EXE was started and you still get the same message, make sure that when you choose the File Save As command in the Menumake utility, use the default path, which is the directory where the Menumaker utilities are located. Just add the filename after the path, click OK, then try the Make Menu command again. Note: If you change the path when you use the Save As command, the .DEF file is created in the correct directory but the MAKEMENU.EXE is unable able to find the file and displays the error message.
