MNK Pro: Mute Hot Key Does Not Function CorrectlyID: Q237809
|
When you press the Mute media Hot Key on the Microsoft Natural Keyboard
Pro, the command may be ignored even though the on-screen display message
appears.
All the other media hot keys function as expected.
This behavior can occur if you connect your speakers or headphones to the audio output jack on your CD-ROM drive.
To prevent this issue from occurring, connect your speakers or headphones
to the line-out jack on your sound card.
If you are unable to listen to audio compact discs when your speakers or
headphones are connected to the line-out jack on your sound card, connect
a patch cable between the audio output jack on your CD-ROM drive and the
line-in jack on your sound card to work around this issue.
You are also unable to use the volume control on the taskbar to mute CD audio if your speakers or headphones are connected directly to the audio output jack on your CD-ROM drive.
