MNK Pro: Temporary Files Remain on Hard Disk After Unsuccesful InstallationID: Q232411
|
If your attempt to install the Microsoft IntelliType Pro software is not successful, temporary files may not be removed from your hard disk.
This behavior occurs if the installation is unsuccessful because you do not have sufficient available hard disk space to install the IntelliType Pro software.
To prevent this issue from occurring, a minimum of 10 megabytes (MB) of
hard disk space must be available before you install the IntelliType Pro
software.
NOTE: You must have additional available hard disk space to install
Microsoft Internet Explorer or Microsoft Media Player from the IntelliType
Pro CD-ROM.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Natural Keyboard Pro version 1.0.
In addition to the 10 MB of disk space required by the IntelliType Pro
software, Microsoft recommends you maintain at least 50 MB of available
space on the hard disk on which Microsoft Windows is installed.
This disk space is needed by the Windows swap file but may also be used
by other programs.
