Address Toolbar Does Not Function Properly on the Taskbar

SYMPTOMS

When you search for a Web site using the Address toolbar on the taskbar, the Address toolbar may not function correctly.


CAUSE

This issue can occur if the Address toolbar is the only active toolbar on the taskbar.


RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, add another toolbar to the taskbar. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Right-click an empty area on the taskbar.


  2. Point to Toolbars, and then click to select the Links, Desktop, or Quick Launch toolbar.



STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.


MORE INFORMATION
