Autoscan Common Root Domains Check Box Is Listed LastID: Q210967

When you view the Searching settings on the Advanced tab in Internet Properties, the "Autoscan common root domains" check box may appear at the bottom of the list of Searching settings.
This problem can occur if Windows NT 4.0 places the registry settings for your Searching settings in a different order than Microsoft Windows 95 or Microsoft Windows 98.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
The "Autoscan common root domains" check box appears at the top of the Searching settings in Internet Explorer 4.0 on a Windows 95-based or Windows 98-based computer.
