SUMMARY

Updated versions of the Microsoft virtual machine (Microsoft VM) are available for download from Microsoft.

Updated Microsoft VM versions 2436, 3167, and 3177 are available for download for Microsoft Windows 95, Microsoft Windows 98, and Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 from the following Microsoft Web site:

NOTE: All of these updated Microsoft virtual machines provide support for Java Native Interface (JNI).

The updated Microsoft VMs correct a minor issue associated with generating dates on your computer on or after January 1, 2000. It is recommended that you update your Microsoft VM to correct this issue. You can obtain current information about the year 2000 compliance of Microsoft products by calling 1-888-MSFT-Y2K, or by visiting the following Microsoft Web site:

If the version of your Microsoft VM is later than version 2436 but earlier than version 3165, install version 3165 or later (than 3165) from the appropriate Web site.

If the version of your Microsoft VM is later than version 1599 but earlier than version 2436, install version 2436, 3165, or later (than 3165) from the appropriate Web site.

If the version of your Microsoft VM is earlier than version 1520, install version 1520 from the appropriate Web site.
