SYMPTOMS
When you attempt to move or resize an Active Desktop item, you may not

Desktop items are installed, you may not be able to move or resize them.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if all of the following conditions are true:
- Internet Explorer 4.01 Service Pack 1 is installed.
- The Windows Desktop Update component is installed.
- You move the mouse pointer over the text of a desktop icon as you move
the Active Desktop item.
RESOLUTION
To work around this problem, press the F5 key to refresh the desktop. The
Active Desktop item returns to its original position.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem with Microsoft Internet
Explorer 4.01 Service Pack 1 and in Microsoft Windows 98.
