Cookie Security Setting Changed to "Enable" During Internet Explorer 5 SetupID: Q223780
|
When you upgrade from Internet Explorer version 4.x to Internet Explorer 5, the value of the "Allow cookies that are stored on your computer" setting is changed to Enabled for all security zones except the Restricted Sites zone, even though this setting may have been set to Prompt or Disable in Internet Explorer 4.x.
In earlier versions of Internet Explorer, cookie settings are global; disabling cookies disables them for all sites or zones. In Internet Explorer 5, cookie settings are available on a per-zone basis.
