When you start Internet Explorer or Outlook Express, you may receive the following error message:
%TARGET% was not found
This behavior can occur if you install Internet Explorer while you have the NOCLOBBER environment variable set.
To resolve this behavior, unset the NOCLOBBER environment variable.
To determine if you have the NOCLOBBER environment variable set, use the following commands:
set | more
env | more
If NOCLOBBER or noclobber appear in either list, please consult the manual
page (using the man command) for the shell that you are using or your
System Administrator for information about unsetting environment
variables.
You may also receive an error message during the installation of Internet Explorer that files were not replaced due to the NOCLOBBER environment variable being set. If this behavior occurs, please follow the directions in the RESOLUTION section above to unset the variable and then reinstall Internet Explorer.
