Floppy Disk Formatted Incorrectly on Japanese PC98 Computer

SYMPTOMS

After you install Internet Explorer on a Japanese PC98 computer, you may find that formatting floppy disks by using the Format command on the File menu in My Computer or Windows Explorer results in the floppy disk being formatted incorrectly. Possible formatting results are listed in the following table.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Internet Explorer 4.01 for Windows NT 4.0 on Japanese PC98 computers.
