Fonts Button Missing From Internet Explorer Toolbar

SYMPTOMS

When you run Internet Explorer, the Fonts button may be missing from the Standard Buttons toolbar.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because the Fonts button is not displayed on the Standard Buttons toolbar in Internet Explorer by default.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, use the appropriate method:

Internet Explorer 4.0, 4.01, or 5 for Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0

To add the Fonts button to your Internet Explorer Standard Buttons toolbar, follow these steps:

1. In Internet Explorer 4, click Internet Options on the View menu. In

   Internet Explorer 5, click Internet Options on the Tools menu.

2. Click the Advanced tab.

3. Under Toolbar, click the Show Font Button check box to select it, and

   then click OK.

To add the Fonts button to your Internet Explorer Standard Buttons toolbar, follow these steps:

1. In Internet Explorer, click Internet Options on the View menu.

2. Click the Advanced tab.

3. Under Toolbar, click the Show Font Button On Startup check box to

   select it, and then click OK.

Internet Explorer 4.01 for Windows 3.1 and Windows NT 3.51

Internet Explorer 4.01 for Windows 3.1 and Windows NT 3.51 does not support adding a Fonts button to the Standard Buttons toolbar. To change the font size in Internet Explorer, click Fonts on the View menu, and then click the appropriate font size.
