When you run Internet Explorer 4.01 on a Windows 3.1-based or Windows NT 3.51-based computer with Microsoft Office version 4.x installed, you may experience any of the following symptoms:
Microsoft Internet Explorer
Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site
http://web_server_name/word6.doc
- IEXPLORE Caused General Protection Fault in USER.EXE at <address>.
- Error Divide by Zero
- This file is read-only. <file location>.
- File is being modified by another user. Open as read-only?
A supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to computers experiencing this specific problem. To resolve this problem immediately, contact Microsoft Technical Support to obtain the fix. If you are not severely impacted by this specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Internet Explorer service pack that contains this fix.
