Mail Box Is Blank in Internet Explorer Properties

SYMPTOMS

When you view the Mail box on the Programs tab of Internet Explorer properties, it may be blank.

CAUSE

This problem can occur if you uninstall Microsoft Outlook 97. When you do so, the following registry key may be deleted:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
