Minimized Windows Are Restored When New Program Is Started

SYMPTOMS

When you click the Show Desktop icon on the Quick Launch toolbar to minimize all open windows, some windows may be restored when you start a new program.

CAUSE

This problem can occur if you use the Show Desktop icon to minimize a window that does not have a Minimize button.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the products listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

The Show Desktop icon is available in Microsoft Windows 95 and Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 only when the Active Desktop is installed.
