No Dialog Box Informing You That Uninstall Will Remain Disabled

SYMPTOMS

If you delete the backup information from an earlier version of Internet Explorer when you install Internet Explorer 4.01 SP1 or SP2, you are not prompted with the following message:

Uninstall will remain disabled.
