No Response Downloading Office Files from a Secure Web Site

SYMPTOMS

When you try to gain access to Microsoft Office 97 files on a secure Web site the second time during the same session, your mouse pointer may change to a busy pointer and there may be no response from the server.


RESOLUTION

A supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but it has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem. If you are not severely affected by this specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Internet Explorer service pack that contains this fix.
