| Script Error Viewing a Web Site That Uses Transition FiltersID: Q223331

When you view a Web site that uses transition filters, you may receive one of the following script error messages, and parts of the Web site may not work correctly:
- 'filters(...)' is not an object
- Object required:'filter name.filters(...)'
This problem can occur after you uninstall Internet Explorer 4.01 Service Pack 2 from Windows 98. This removes the following registry key that is needed for transition filters to work properly:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CSSFilters
To resolve this problem:
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Internet Explorer 4.01 Service Pack 2.
