When you connect to a secure Web site (https://) that contains both secure and non-secure items, you may receive the following message:
This page contains both secure and non-secure items.
Do you want to download the non-secure items?
This behavior is by design.
This message is an indication that the Web site contains both secure and non-secure items. You are given the option to download the non-secure items with the secure items on the Web site, display only the secure items, or view the corresponding Help topic. The choices in Internet Explorer 4.0 or later and Internet Explorer 3.02 are slightly different. To view these differences, refer to the appropriate section:
When the message is displayed, you are given the option to click Yes, No, or More Info. If you click Yes, your Web page displays both the secure and non-secure items. If you click No, the non-secure items are not displayed on the Web page and the Secure Lock indicator appears on the status bar. If you click More Info, the "Downloading insecure content from a secure Web site" Help topic is displayed.
When the message is displayed, you are given the option to click About Security, Yes, or No. If you click About Security, the "Security on the Internet" Help topic is displayed. If you click Yes, your Web page displays both the secure and non-secure items. If you click No, the non-secure items are not displayed and the Secure Lock indicator appears on the status bar.
